Christmas Cookies

My family has a bunch of traditions when it comes to Christmas. Every year, we watch White Christmas together to start off the season.. we celebrate with my mom's side of the family on Christmas Eve.. Christmas morning my dad starts playing Christmas music to wake everyone up (and then starts dancing quite horribly I might add), then we open presents and he makes us breakfast and then we head over to my dad's side of the family to celebrate with them. My family always volunteers to make dessert for our Christmas bashes. And when I think of Christmas desserts, cookies always come to mind. Even though these cookies take a while to decorate, they are definitely worth the time. The snowflakes, trees, mittens, and ornaments capture the holiday perfectly. I used a few different techniques-- polka dots, "squiggle lines", and hearts. They were a lot of fun to do and I can't wait to make more. Over the next few days I'll post more specifics about how to recreate these cookies. Here's a preview of some of the cookies I created. Enjoy!
