Tree and Snowflake Cookies

So, the christmas trees were cute. Not CUTE like the ornaments and mittens, but cute. I thought they were necessary to tie my theme together, but I was not "ooh-ing" and "ahh-ing" over them like I was the others. And as I said before, I was not a fan of the snowflakes. Loved the color but could not get the right consistency for the royal icing for the detailing and I couldn't find my #2 tip which would have been sooo helpful. I ended up trying to use a toothpick because all I had was either a #1 or #4 tip and neither of those were working. My sisters liked them but I was really unhappy with the finished look. Hopefully you guys have better luck with the consistency and knowing where your #2 tip is! The only thing I liked about these snowflakes was the color-- I absolutely loved it. It's Wilton's Delphinium Blue. For the trees, I used my homemade green color, Wilton's Golden Yellow, Wilton's Christmas Red, Wilton's Delphinium Blue, and Wilton's Brown.

My sister made the snowflake above on the left. It was her first time using a piping bag!

The snowflakes before I started disliking them. If only I could find that darn #2 tip! (and thin my icing properly... oops!)
